For custom manufacturing shops

How it works in your shop

Forgmatic makes nothing — you do. It works out a price from your own price list and takes the order even when you have no time to pick up the phone. We'll go through it from three sides: what you set up, what your customer sees and what you get.

Step 1

What you set up

The basics take an afternoon; fine-tuning the price list depends on how many materials you have. After that you only go back in when something changes.

What you can make

You create the operations you offer and the inputs your machines can take. Whatever you leave out, the customer never sees — so they cannot order it.

How you price it

Machine rates, labor rates, flat fees, surcharges, minimum billable quantity, quantity discounts. You assemble the formula in the admin: it is your way of pricing work, not ours.

When you can deliver

You enter how much you get through in a given week and which delivery speeds you offer. The date the customer sees comes from that — not from a number we made up.

Step 2

What your customer sees

Your shop uses your logo and colors. Custom domains from Pro. Invoices and emails without Forgmatic branding from Enterprise.

They say what they need

They land on your page and upload a file or fill in the brief. No account to create, nobody to call.

They get a price from your price list

Forgmatic calculates the price using your rates and shows a delivery estimate based on your capacity and shipping.

They adjust the brief

They change inputs or quantity and the price recalculates. Only combinations your machines can handle are offered.

They order and pay

They finish the order on your own site. Card payments go through Stripe Connect to your account and the commission is deducted at payment; for bank transfers we bill the commission separately.

You can walk through this part yourself. The demo shop is the same site you get, just filled with practice data. Nothing in it is really ordered or paid for.

Step 3

What you get

Up to this point you never had to know the inquiry existed. Now it is a job.

The order, in your inbox and your admin

With the file, the parameters, the price and the customer's contact details. Nothing to retype.

The rest of the shop picks it up

Order board with dates, stock, material write-off, purchase orders to suppliers. The job crosses the shop inside one system.

The paperwork is already inside

Invoice in a numbered series, proforma, credit note. Nothing to assemble alongside in another program.

Try it on a job of your own

Opening a shop is free and commits you to nothing. Take one of your recent quotes and see whether Forgmatic would have priced it the same.
